Jasper celebrated
his 8th birthday on
May 30, 2005.

Jasper is a Weimaraner who enjoys his side job as the Chief Canine Officer for Pet Pangaea. His real job is finding subjects; he is a search dog on Mountain Canine Corps Search and Rescue Team. Jasper is trained in scent-generic airscent, scent-specific trailing, and human recovery work. He has found numerous subjects and he is proud to be part of the search and rescue community in New Mexico. He was born in May 1997 in Pojoaque, New Mexico.

The Weimaraner breed demonstrates tremendous endurance, as well as being intelligent, questioning, courageous, protective, powerful and extremely stubborn. They require consistent training to become a good canine citizen. Jasper is no exception and his stamina, hunting instincts, and motivation are tremendous assets for search and rescue. His favorite reward is playing fetch with a stick. But, he does find the toys in the store appealing. Jasper can be reached via his email address.
